Cider Time

This huge antique cider press was built in 1913 and is still working today.

Bags of apples are brought in by the tractor load and dumped into the press.

With over 500 apple trees, Antique Apple Orchard offers approximately 200 varieties of apples.  We could taste all we wanted to.  So good!  :D

The juice was  cyphened into the barrel and handdipped into the bottles.....you could have quart, 1/2 gal. or gallon jugs.

This little girl was picking flowers and she offered me some.  Isn't she sweet ......The dandylions were sweet too.  lol
Brocard's Antique Apple Orchard and Cider Mill is just across and down the road from where we live in Sweet Home.  It has been in operation every year since 1913.  We went there today and had some fresh sweet cider.  m-m-m so good!!!

Lynda & Ron & New Home and Furniture

Japanese lanterns hang in the corner of the living room
A huge umbrella with dangling lights over the round oak antique table in the dining room and a black hutch along the right wall.

Lynda's hanging windows act as a divider between the living and dining room. These were brought from Alaska.

Black barrel chairs with black and white herringbone weave cushions.

Circle mirrors above the TV and the back of the couch that looks yellow in picture (I guess from the flash) is really green.

Looking thru the kitchen out onto the back deck.

Another view of the kitchen and breakfast area looking out onto the back deck.

and last....standing in kitchen doorway looking thru the dining area to the living room.

I have heard that some people (like Amanda and Seth) have been wanting to see Lynda & Ron's new home and furniture.  So far they have done pretty good at finding some very nice things.  I have attempted to do them justice by the pictures above.  They aren't finished yet but are slowly going about finding the pieces they want.   Bedroom pictures will come when they have done more to those areas.

It has been so much fun having them close and going along to see all their ideas take shape.  Nothing like being close to family and enjoying life with them.  Cynthia is close by and it's so fun to get together with everyone.  Life is good!!  God is good!!
